Know what's amazing with bourbon (or whiskey or rum for that matter 🤣)? Beignets! Recipe up on website soon. I need to indulge first. It's making me think another trip to New Orleans is warranted. Some of the best food I have ever tasted has been on my trips to NOLA. I love beignets and hot cocoa at Cafe Du Monde (yeah, super touristy but hey, I love it!), a French 75 at French 75, and po' boys at Parkway - I like their variety of options. That's just a start. So much food, so many choices, you could spend just a few days in NOLA and probably gain 10 lbs just from sampling the traditional food offerings.
I also never miss a trip to the WWII Museum. I have been there several times, and it's always worth a visit. Besides learning a few facts I swear were missed in my American History classes in high school, the movie is educational, entertaining and quite moving.
